Daniel

Pray for this unbelievably gifted kid. Colombian born, his first musical love was the drums  and now he plays just about anything. Always wanted to give him a job, God had bigger plans. Today he leaves for Korea with a five year scholarship. Hard to say goodbye to this rising star. Honored to know him...

Walking Away #5

Went to see some of my old players in the big game today. First time to go as a spectator as we focus more on technology for the future. The original founders were there. If you've kept up over the years, you've seen plenty of pics of Luis Carlos, Leonel and Roberto. At half-time of the big game, #5 Yader came over to visit. So honored by this gesture. He never lived in the limelight and was always one of the smallest players. Also one of the best, pound for pound. Always left it all out on the field. That's how I want to live my life in the mission field. Don't really know how I'll be remembered or if it even matters. Soccer is such a big deal here. Numero cinco taking time today at half-time of the big game was one of the great honors of my life. I just give praise and glory to God that the five years we had together was such a perfect moment in time. It was us against the world and what we were able to accomplish may never ever be duplicated. At best, we were a train wreck on the brink of disaster and for some reason God blessed us all beyond our wildest dreams. Forever, 5 is Yader. No one has ever owned a # like numero cinco. Live life like that, own it!! Nobody else can be you...

Manuelito!!

Came by and surprised me today at the new gig. First time to see him this year. Fellow wild man, known him since he was a pup. Now days, he's working as a caddy at a local country club. Apparently some gringo taught him some lines from Caddy Shack and it's working out quite well...
